Not Done Yet: Flyers Win 4-3 in Overtime

The Flyers came in tonight down 3-1 to the Islanders in what has been an extremely disappointing series. Earlier today, AV told the media it was time for Giroux and JVR to put their big boy pants on. The boys did just that and walked away with a 4-3 win in over time against the Islanders to force Game 6 on Thursday night.

Giroux tied the game with 4 minutes left in the 2nd period.

JVR gave the Flyers the lead a few minutes later.

The Flyers led the game 3-1 in the 3rd period after a goal from Niskanen.

Back came the Islanders. They scored two goals in the final 4 minutes to force overtime. Scott Laughton scored in overtime and the Flyers won 3-4.

Worth Noting:

The beers are in fact, flowing. Stumpo was throwing em’ back all night on The Liberty Yell Twitter for every time the Flyers didn’t score on their power play.

Also probably the reason why I’m writing this article but regardless, we’re alive. See you Thursday. The beers will be flowing, per usual.

unfiltered, opinionated, and certainly do not care if you like it or not.
