Nolan Patrick set to play in Scrimmage

According to former Flyers player, Ryan Whites instagram, Nolan Patrick is set to play on Team White today in a scrimmage in Brandon, Manitoba.

It’s just a scrimmage with some top WHL prospects and pro players. It’s not going to be anywhere near the level of NHL hockey he’s faced or even a NHL practice, still, it’s still a really good sign that Patrick is participating in anything involving hockey.

Patrick has missed all of this year with migraine issues and has really been working hard to get better back on the ice. You have to think he was cleared by doctors and if everyone involved, including Nolan thinks he’s safe and healthy enough to go, then play hockey!

We did get this quote from GM Chuck Fletcher not long ago.

Nolan Patrick is currently a RFA and hasn’t played professional hockey since the 2018-2019 season, his last game coming April 2nd, 2019. This is a great step in the right direction. The end goal being for Nolan to get healthy, get a contract and play hockey for the Philadelphia Flyers this year.

Update

If you didn’t catch the livestream today, no worries, we have you covered. We tweeted a thread of plays by Nolan. Even though it’s just a pickup scrimmage, it’s good to see #19 (#39 in the scrimmage today) back on the ice.
