Philadelphia Union Win 2-1, Remain Undefeated at Home

The Philadelphia Union took the field tonight against Montreal Impact for the first time in front of fans. The Union continues to chase for first place in the Eastern Conference with 7 games remaining.
First Half:
It was a rainy night in Chester, and in the 39th minute, the Union struck first. Midfielder Jamiro Monteiro scored following a beautiful pass from Ilsinho.
It was a sloppy first half for the Union, but they were able to be in the lead heading into halftime.
Second Half:
In just the first 3 minutes of the second half, the Union put one in the back of the net. Sergio Santos put in an empty-net goal following a cross from fellow Brazilian, Ilsinhio.
In the 86th minute, Montreal midfielder Amar Sejdic cut the lead to one after a great through ball.
The Union came away with the 2-1 victory. They are now 6-0-0 at home remain 3 points behind first-place Toronto FC. The Union plays again on Wednesday vs D.C United.
