Another week is finished in the NFL and the Eagles still have a joke of a starting linebacker. There is absolutely no reason Nate Gerry should be a starting linebacker in the NFL. Until Howie Roseman and the Eagles decide to make a change on defense, opposing tight ends will destroy the middle of the field.

Nate Gerry somehow played 100% of the snaps this past Sunday. There is no reason for that whatsoever, even more so when you have two linebacker prospects waiting on the sideline for an opportunity to prove themselves. You can’t do any worse than Nate Gerry. So on that reasoning alone, there’s no reason the rookies can’t see the field over him.

For whatever reason, Howie just doesn’t value the linebacker position. Sure, the game may be straying away from the classic linebacker position, but there’s no excuse for this joke of a unit that the Eagles deploy every Sunday.
