Best Bets: TNF Eagles vs Giants

The Eagles will turn to the black uniforms Thursday night in an attempt to conjure up some offensive black magic against a seemingly terrible 1-5 New York Giants football team. I have never felt better about a 1-4-1 football team in my life. It’s a classic NFC East matchup on perfect fall evening. My prediction and best bets are below.
Final Score:
Eagles 29 – Giants 17
Boston Scott over 71.5 all purpose yards
We all remember Joe Tessitore screaming BOSTON SCOTT! on December 9th of last season in what had to be one of the least enjoyable Eagles wins I have ever watched. For whatever reason Scott morphs into Brian Westbrook against the Giants and has posted 256 yards and four touchdowns against them in 2 career games.
Golden Tate +240 anytime touchdown
Golden Tate Over 38.5 receiving yards
Golden Tate sucked during a contract year in Philly. Deservingly he took a ton of shit from fans and media. Every time Tate lines up against the Birds he looks likes he is uber-focused and playing his best football.
Daniel Jones Over 0.5 Interception (-175)
Following last Sunday, Jones had thrown an interception in 5 of 6 games to begin the season. In 2019 Jones threw 12 interceptions over 13 games. Between fumbles and picks Jones is simply a good bet to turn the ball over every game.
Giants under 20.5 points (-115)
The Giants flat out stink and are without their best player in Saquon Barkley. Without the threat of the run the Eagles defense line will be able to pin their ears back and get to Daniel Jones multiple times. According to Football Outsiders the New York Giants are dead last in DVOA Offensive Efficiency. How can you be worse than the Jets?!?! I will take a rare under.

[…] After starting out hot in week 7, we regressed and went 0-4 last week. Between the tropical storm force winds blowing across South Philly to Ben DiNucci seemingly playing quarterback for the first time in his life, we were losers before the game even began. I extend my apologies but we’re back this week. […]
[…] The last time we put out Best Bets for a Giants game we went 4-1. I don’t see much difference between that game played on October 22nd and today’s affair. With key players such as Miles Sanders and Alshon Jeffery returning this game comes down to whether Carson Wentz has enough time to actually throw the ball. […]
