Philadelphia Union Vs New England Revolution Preview

The Philadelphia Union take the field this afternoon for the final game of regular-season before heading into the playoffs. Who else to finish the regular season with then the New England Revolution. The Supporters Shield is on the line and a win today would make club history. To win the Shield, the Union have to win or get the same result as Toronto to put them ahead by goal differential. The game is at home where the Union are undefeated this year.
New England Revolution Scouting Report
Even though this game is favoring the Union, the Revolution shouldn’t be underestimated. The Revolution are trying to head into the playoffs with a better playoff seed. They are winless in three of their last four games. Both teams know each other very well as this will be the fourth meeting between the two this year. The Union are 2-0-1 in the first three matchups but this time around they are without star goalie Andre Blake.
Betting Odds
The Union ML stands at a -113 heading into this match. Here’s a look at the rest of the odds from our good friends over at Fox Sports the Gambler.
Prediction: 3-1 Union
The Union should be able to secure three points and the first trophy in club history, but it won’t go down without a fight from the Revolution. Without goalie Andre Blake for a few more weeks, I think the Revolution’s attack could cause some problems.
