Flyers Release “Reverse Retro” Alternate Jerseys
The Flyers dropped their Adidas Reverse Retro ADIZERO jerseys today for the 2020-21 season. The NHL is releasing Reverse Retro jerseys for all 31 teams for the first time in NHL History.
The uniform resembles the Flyers jerseys worn through 1982-2007. It was introduced in 1982 with an orange-shouldered white jersey at home and white-shouldered orange jersey on the road.
Flyers Senior Vice President of Marketing Mark Zarthar:
“Philly fans have clamored to bring back the burnt orange color associated with our teams of the 90’s. Those were special years for our franchise. The Reverse Retro jersey celebrates this era of Flyers history while simultaneously looking to a bright future, presenting a fresh look at a classic design.”
You can purchase one beginning December 1st. Season Ticket Members will have exclusive access to the store from 11 AM to 1 PM on December 1st before it opens to the general public from 1-3 PM. From December 2nd to the 5th, the store will be open to the general public from 12 PM to 3 PM.
Initial reaction to the jerseys has been overwhelmingly positive on social media and rightfully so. The Flyers must have learned from the Sixers mistakes last week.
