Union Goalkeeper Matt Freese Selected to USMNT Roster ahead of January 31st Match

USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter has finalized his 25-player roster ahead of the USA-Trinidad & Tobago on Jan. 31 in Orlando on January 31st.
Philadelphia Union homegrown goalkeeper Matt Freese was selected (Full List Below). Over two seasons at Harvard University, Freese played in 16 matches, totaling 77 saves. In his second season, he earned Second-Team All-Ivy League honors. For the Union, Freese has made one appearance (one start) for the Union. He earned his first start of the season in the Union’s regular season finale against the New England Revolution, picking up a clean sheet to help the club win the 2020 Supporters’ Shield
The group was selected from a list of 12 senior MNT players and 26 U-23 MNT players. This group has was training since January 9th at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
