Paul Reed named NBA G League Player of the Week

76ers two-way contract player Paul Reed, better known as “BBall Paul”, has been named the player of the week for the NBA’s G League. This past week, Reed averaged 24.7 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 steals for the Delaware Blue Coats.
After being drafted with the 58th pick in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft, Reed was with the Sixers on a two-way contract for a short period of time before joining the Blue Coats in the G League Bubble. Increased playing time rather than sitting on the bench was the right move for Reed, who has helped the Blue Coats start off with a perfect 3-0 record this season.
Reed is shooting 62 percent from the field and put up a career-high 31 points against the Agua Caliente Clippers on Sunday. His 24.7 points per game over the first three games is second across the entire G League. The Blue Coats will face the Greensboro Swarm tonight at 7 PM.
