Report: Brandon Graham and Eagles working on contract extension

The Eagles are working on a contract extension with Brandon Graham to help lower his cap hit in 2021. As it stands, Graham has a $17.9 million cap hit with a $13 million salary this season. It was reported a few weeks ago that Graham and the Eagles were working on a contract restructure, but it looks to be making significant progress.
According to Over the Cap, the Eagles can clear roughly $8.9 million by reworking Graham’s contract. Currently, the Eagles are still $17 million over the salary cap limit, and this extension could cut a massive chunk out of that. In 2019, the two sides agreed to a three-year $40 million extension to keep Graham in Philadelphia.
The Pro Bowl defensive end has been a staple of the Eagles defense for the last several years and has been dominant well into his 30s. More restructures are likely on the way in the coming days. Alongside changes in contracts, the Eagles are likely to move tight end Zach Ertz as he grows impatient with the current trade talks.
