Report: Zach Ertz growing “increasingly impatient” with Eagles

The Eagles are reportedly standing their ground and not releasing TE Zach Ertz, per NFL Network. Multiple teams have shown interest in the former Pro Bowl tight end, but none seem to be offering the compensation that the Eagles are looking for.
The #Eagles insist they won’t release three-time Pro Bowl TE Zach Ertz, and with multiple teams interested in a trade, Ertz is getting antsy for Philadelphia to get a deal done. @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/W5T4skOlIR

The Eagles have been seeking either a 3rd or 4th-round pick for Ertz’s services but after his lackluster 2020 season, it’s unlikely that the Eagles will receive much value. Ertz played in just 11 games last season catching 36 passes for 335 yards and a single touchdown.
The Eagles appear to be going through a rebuild this offseason and Ertz would prefer the team to trade him sooner rather than later. With Dallas Goedert emerging in addition to the buzz surrounding Florida standout Kyle Pitts, I’m sure the Eagles have no desire to keep Ertz around much longer either. Ertz’s base salary for 2021 is roughly $8.5M.
