Flyers place Shayne Gostisbehere on waivers
The Philadelphia Flyers have waived Shayne Gostisbehere. Even though it’s unlikely, if Ghost goes unclaimed by Wednesday at noon, he will rejoin the Flyers or report to AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley.
Ghost was having a solid season offensively, with five goals and six assists in 25 games, but the Flyers defense as a whole has been nothing short of a complete disaster. Ghost has two more years on his current contract and carries a $4.5 million cap hit. If he ends up staying with the Flyers, expect to see Ghost pop up in trade talks as the April 12th deadline approaches.
