Greg Ward signs one-year exclusive rights contract with the Eagles

Greg Ward has signed his exclusive rights contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. The 25-year old quarterback turned wide receiver is currently the only WR on the Eagles roster with more than 40 career receptions.
An exclusive rights free agent are players that have two or fewer seasons under their belt and on an expiring contract. The Eagles tendered their rights with three of these players already this offseason. Greg Ward, Boston Scott, and Alex Singleton. This essentially means that the Eagles retain rights to these players for another season.
Greg Ward will get a one-year contract on the minimum wage for 2021 third-year players at $850,000.
Ward had a team-high 53 catches last year for 419 yards and six touchdowns. His 81 receptions over the last two years are most among all Eagles wide receivers since week one in 2019. No other wide receiver has had more than 50 receptions. The closest wide receiver on the Eagles depth chart would be Travis Fulgham who had 38 receptions last year, 29 of which came in his first five games as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.
