Report: Eagles bring back Jordan Howard on one-year deal

The Eagles have added more depth to the running back position ahead of the draft. Jordan Howard is returning to the team on a one-year deal, per Adam Schefter.

Before today, the Eagles roster consisted of Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, Jason Huntley, Elijah Holyfield, and Adrian Killins at running back. This will be Howard’s 3rd stint with the Eagles after spending the 2019 season with the team and appearing in just two games last year after being cut by Miami.

The Eagles needed a downhill-runner to complement Sanders in the backfield and Howard fit that role nicely two seasons ago. How much tread the power-back has left on his tires remains to be seen. Howard ran for 525 yards and 6 TDs for the Eagles in 2019.
