Phillies recall Jojo Romero from Lehigh Valley

The Philadelphia Phillies have called up reliever Jojo Romero after Archie Bradley was placed on the 10-Day Injured List with a left oblique strain.
Romero, who appeared in 12 games during the 2020 season, allowed 13 hits and 9 earned runs. At 23 years old, this is a perfect time for Romero to improve and prove himself as a solid relief pitcher for the always worrisome bullpen. In his minor league career, Romero was impressive. In 2017, he posted a 10-3 record with a 2.16 ERA, 104 hits allowed, and 128 strikeouts in 23 games.
Romero will hopefully be a solid bullpen arm for a team desperately in need of a lefty reliever. The fans should be excited to see more Red Bull’s be crushed at the hands of Jojo soon.
