MLS Preview: Philadelphia Union Take on Inter Miami in Home Opener

The Philadelphia Union hosts their MLS home opener this afternoon as Inter Miami comes to Subaru Park. The Union are heading into this game following a 0-0 draw against the defending champions Columbus Crew. The Union will have around 5,000 fans in attendance hoping to see them walk away with three points. The city of Philadelphia last night was in Union colors showing support for the home opener.

Inter Miami Scouting Report
Inter Miami had a very bad first season as a club and are looking to rebound by beating one of the best teams in the MLS tonight. Miami lost their first game of the MLS season 3-2 against the LA Galaxy. They have the talent with names like Higuain and Blaise Matuidi, but it seems the club can’t figure out how to win games. A familiar face, John McCarthy will be making his return to Chester as the starting goalkeeper for Inter Miami.
Union Scouting Report
With a big second-round Champions League matchup on Tuesday, the Union may look to rest some key players tonight. They may be able to take an early lead against a weak Miami club and allow for some starters to sit in the second half. It would be fun to see some of the young guys play tonight such as Paxten Aaronson. The only player ruled out for the Union tonight is midfielder Jack De Vries.
The Union has yet to be scored on as Andre Blake continues to show why he is the best goalie in the MLS. I fully expect another great game from Blake especially in the home opener.
Prediction: 2-0 Union
The Union are just too talented of a squad to lose their home opener against a weak Miami squad. With 5,000 fans in attendance and Union’s record playing at home, I would HAMMER the Union ML tonight at a +110.
