Carter Hart to Miss the Remainder of the 20-21 Season with a Left MCL Sprain

Carter Hart will miss the remainder of the season with an MCL sprain in his left knee, the team announced this morning. The Flyers have flat out stunk this season, and although this is not good news, there’s no reason to rush your goalie of the future back out there.

Carter Hart had a rough year in net. Partially due to himself, but mainly due to his lack of defense playing in front of him. Hart ends the season 9-11-5, with a 3.66 GAA and an .877 save percentage, his career worst. It seemed like Hart’s confidence was starting to go down the drain, and mine would be too if I had to play behind that defense. Brian Elliot will now make the starts for the remaining games this season. Carter Hart will get an excess amount of time off, where he can regroup, clear his head, and come back ready to dominate next season like we know he can.

The goalie of the future for the Flyers is officially out for the remainder of the year. The Flyers will hop on the bus over to Newark, New Jersey to take on the Devils tonight, at 7:00.
