Philadelphia Union Match Preview: New England Revolution

The Philadelphia Union take the field tonight against a very familiar opponent. In the last 10 months, the Union have played the New England Revolution for the 7th time. In their last six meetings, the Union walked away with three wins and one draw. Their last matchup however was one to forget, losing in the first round of the MLS Playoffs.

Revolution Scouting Report
The Revolution have started their 2021 MLS Campaign off strong, with a record of 2-0-1. Coming off a loss against Nashville, the Revolution are looking to have a bounce-back game against the Union. Under Bruce Arena, the club has never lost back-to-back games. With a fully healthy Carlos Gil, the Revolution’s attack is very dangerous. The Union’s defense will have their hands full tonight. Alongside Gil, the Revolution are led by strikers Gustavo Bou and Adam Buska.
Career Game for Andre Blake
Union goalie Andre Blake will make his 150th start for the club and will be the third player to ever complete this in club history. With a great Revolution attack, Blake will have his hands full once again. He has already had a great start this season for the Union and I expect him to come up big once again tonight at home.
