Eagles agree to have modified offseason program this summer

After initially opting out of voluntary workouts this season, the Eagles will be getting to work at the NovaCare Complex this summer. According to reports, Nick Sirianni, and the Eagles’ team leaders agreed to an adjusted offseason program in 2021. The deal includes meetings and on-field walkthroughs alongside workouts.
Following two weeks of that, the Eagles will transition into on-field individual drills, but no team practices or 7 on 7s. The Eagles minicamp will not be mandatory, and they will return for training camp where they will be able to hit one another and run full plays. Their goal is to get everyone acclimated to the playbook and be in shape ahead of training camp.
This change is going to be huge for the Eagles’ upcoming season. Learning an entirely new offense is difficult, let alone over Zoom. Getting everyone in the building to learn and get situated will be a huge head start over the numerous NFL teams without any offseason program.
