Former Eagles head coach predicts a 10-7 season

Former Eagles head coach Dick Vermeil has a lot of hope in the Eagles this upcoming season. Vermeil appeared on Zach Brook’s podcast recently and discussed how Philadelphia would perform in 2021. Many rankings have Philly in the bottom five of the NFL due to it being seen by mnay as a rebuilding season.

You can listen to Zach’s full interview with Dick Vermeil here:

“I think they’ll be surprisingly good. Now they have two first-round pick wide receivers. They have one quality tight end locked in, and of course, the other quality tight end mayor may not be here. I hope he is. I think they’ll be an excellent football team. My concern is their secondary. Will that be good against the best? But I bet they’ll win ten games, maybe more.”

That is quite the high praise from the Super Bowl-winning head coach. Dick was the Eagles coach from 1976 through 1982 and led the Eagles to their first Super Bowl appearance back in 1981. Currently, Philadelphia is going through voluntary OTAs, which have had a large amount of the roster participating. Hopefully, these large crowds will help them have an advantage over their opponents who are fully virtual and live up to Vermeil’s expectations.
