Phillies Fans: Philadelphia Lifts Outdoor Mask Mandate

The City of Philadelphia announced yesterday that they will lift their mask mandate for outdoor events, beginning this Friday. That means for people like me, who are going to the Red Sox vs Phillies game tomorrow night, I can finally have a sense of dignity when walking into the kingdom that is Citizens Bank Park.
For indoor events, capacity limits will be eliminated starting June 11th and there has been talks in eliminating the indoor mask mandate as well. The city will review the mask mandate on June 6th. Daily COVID cases and positivity rates have declined over the last several weeks and to date, more than 633,000 people in Philly are full vaccinated.
The Sixers have released their first round playoff schedule. If things go as planned, it’s looking more and more likely that we can all take off our masks and be at full capacity at a Sixers’ playoff game sometime in the early second round of the playoffs.
I walked into a Wawa today with no mask on and it was the best feeling in the entire world. It’s great to see the world finally begin to open again. Would hate to jinx it, but this summer is shaping up to be the best one we’ve had in over a year.
