Davis Bertans out for the remainder of the series against the 76ers

Tomorrow night’s matchup has gotten a bit easier for the Philadelphia 76ers. Washington Wizards’ forward Davis Bertans has been ruled out for the remainder of the series with a grade two calf strain. This injury will sideline Davis Bertans for the next 4-6 weeks. Both sides have suffered several injuries to start this series, including Russell Westbrook, Seth Curry, Tobias Harris, and Joel Embiid.
For the 76ers, it’s unknown yet what Embiid’s availability will be for game five. Their team plane broke down and had to bus back to Philadelphia and didn’t arrive until 6 AM. Due to this, Joel has yet to take an MRI, but early rumors suggest he will be okay, and sitting out was precautionary. Seth Curry also looked to re-aggravate his ankle injury late last night, and no injury news has been heard regarding that either. Without Davis Bertans, the Wizards’ perimeter shooting will suffer immensely.
Game five will be the first game this season where Wells Fargo Center will be at full capacity, so the atmosphere is sure to be electric. Hopefully, the Sixers will come out at full health and be ready to go for the start of the second round this weekend.
