Phillies Roster Update: Haseley, De Los Santos, Anderson, and more

Adam Haseley is back with the Philadelphia Phillies. The team’s Opening Day centerfielder was reinstated from the restricted list to the 40-man roster over the weekend then optioned to Lehigh Valley.
Haseley left the team earlier this year with personal reasons. Haseley will be with Triple A Lehigh Valley where he can get regular at-bats with hopes of working himself back to the majors. It’s no secret that The Phillies lack depth so Haseley working his way back into a Phillies uniform this season seems likely.

In centerfield however, The Phillies have found their every day guy. Odubel Herrera has taken over control of the position for the Phillies.
Herrera is batting .297 with 19 hits, two home runs, and six RBI over the last 15 games. On the season, he’s batting .282 with a .795 OPS and has been batting leadoff for the Phillies who have currently won six out of their last eight games heading into tonight’s series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
As for Haseley, he was the eighth overall pick for The Phillies in the 2017 draft. At the major league level, he’s slashed .264/.322/.373 with 20 doubles, five home runs, and 39 RBI.
The Phillies have also recalled right-handed reliever Enyel De Los Santos from Triple A and optioned Rafael Marchan to Lehigh Valley. Chase Anderson is back on the COVID Injured list.
