Former Flyers coach lands head coaching job with the Seattle Kraken

In news that apparently nobody expected, the Seattle Kraken, have hired former Flyers coach Dave Hakstol to be the new head coach of the NHL’s newest team.
Hakstol was in Philly for 3.5 seasons and finished with a 131-101-42 record with the Flyers. He never had much success in the postseason in Philly, finishing with a 4-8 record and failing to get out of the first round.
After he was fired by the Flyers in 2018, he took a gig with the Toronto Maple Leafs as an assistant coach.
I’m a casual when it comes to hockey but it appears that our guys over at The Liberty Yell are getting a good laugh at the hiring of Dave Hakstol.
Make sure you tune into The Liberty Yell, the best Flyers podcast in the entire world for more on the Hakstol hiring and the Flyers.
[…] And obviously, we know the Kraken have money to burn based on their hiring of that stiff Dave Hakstol. […]
