Michael Rubin fooled nobody and Meek Mill got tickled on July 4th
The Hamptons had even more of the monied elite in town this weekend than usual, thanks to Michael Rubin’s absurd Fourth of July party.
The Sixers’ co-owner threw a particularly star-studded rager on the South Fork of Long Island, NY, this past weekend. Along with the other two “Three Amigos” in Robert Kraft and Meek Mill, the guest list included James Harden, rapper A$AP Rocky, and Tik Tok sensation Charmin Derulo. Even Jay-Z was there.
In all honesty, this party kinda creeps me out. Just look at the Instagram posts:
I have so many questions about this party. Firstly, why are they wearing all white? I get that the whole white linen outfit is a sick summer vibe, but this almost gives me cult vibes. Especially when paired with Michael Rubin making the same face in literally every picture but the last one.
I don’t know what the hell Michael Rubin is planning, but I intend to get to the bottom of it. I never like it when there are that many global elites and societal tastemakers in one place. That can never end well.
That’s not even the worst takeaway a person can have from that party. Lil Uzi Vert – an alleged Philly rapper – showed up and busted some serious moves on the dance floor. While that went on, James Harden decided he should bust something too: Meek Mill’s personal space bubble.
What the hell, James? Didn’t you ever learn to keep your hands to yourself? What’s worse is that Meek is having a grand old time, giggling away. I’m not letting another man tickle me, especially if we’re both in white jeans. Hell, I’m not letting a woman tickle me either, regardless of what color denim either of us is wearing.
At the same time, maybe I’m being harsh on James and Meek. Sometimes you just gotta tickle the homies. Not my cup of tea, but everybody’s different. Humanity isn’t a monolith.
That aside, I have definitely have not been too harsh on Michael Rubin. I could keep going, but he hasn’t done anything to deserve that. At least, not yet…
