Rob McElhenney’s club, Wrexham AFC debuts Philly-inspired kits

The Eagles are taking over the soccer world. Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds’ soccer club, Wrexham AFC, was supposed to travel to Philadelphia to face the Union tomorrow but it has since been canceled due to COVID-19. Recently, Wrexham released their Philly-inspired uniforms to honor their Always Sunny owner. These uniforms were supposed to debut against the Union but will be the club’s away kit this season.

The kit features a midnight green top with grey shorts and black trim. Written along the back collar is a tribute to McElhenney’s show, “It’s Always Sunny.” Rob plays Mac in the hit FX show. Wrexham’s new sponsor, TikTok, is also displayed across the front.

“I’m delighted that this kit brings together two of my great loves: Wrexham AFC and Philadelphia. I hope we build great memories together, in this famous green.”
Overall these uniforms are incredible, and I might just get one myself when they go on sale tomorrow morning. It’s a shame Wrexham won’t be playing in the States this year, but hopefully, they’ll be able to play in Philadelphia in the coming years.
