Phillies Roster Moves, Lineups, and Predictions Heading into today’s Double Header

A big day for the Phillies is on the horizon, with two games against the Washington Nationals, and the trade deadline coming up tomorrow. After last night’s game being moved to today due to a COVID outbreak in the Nationals clubhouse, the teams will face off in two games today to finish off their four game series.
Andrew Knapp is on paternity leave, with a new child on the way for him and his wife. Rafael Marchan, after being pulled from last night’s Reading Phils game, is now up with the team temporarily. Some thought a potential trade was coming, when Marchan wasn’t even present in the dugout in last night‘s win down in AA. He is now up with the team once again, and could be seeing some time today due to the double header.
Phillies will send out the lineup above for Game 1, with two games in the best jerseys in the league, the powder blues. Brad Miller will hit second and play first, Didi will be back at short after an original night off last night, and Zack Wheeler will take the mound looking to continue his dominant season. Max Scherzer will take the hill for the Nationals today in Game 1, which could be his final start in a Nationals uniform.
The Phils will look to take the remaining two games of this series, and go two games above .500 today. I feel good about the Phillies today, and I can’t tell if that’s a good sign or not. Wheeler on the mound, powder blues on, take the Phils today in game 1. With the trade deadline coming to an end, names have been flying around left and right rumored to the Phillies. We’re in for a crazy few days, and hopefully we’re sitting here tomorrow night excited about the final two months of Phillies baseball.
