76ers announce 2021 Summer League roster

Although it’s the middle of the NBA offseason, the 76ers will be back to playing basketball in just under a week. The 2021 NBA Summer League kicks off on Sunday in Las Vegas, and we have our first look at who will be representing the Sixers.
Tyrese Maxey, Paul Reed, Isaiah Joe, and Rayjon Tucker headline the team and will be joined by the entire 2021 rookie class. Alongside them is Frank Mason, who signed a non-guaranteed contract in 2020 before being waived shortly after.
The remaining players include Mitch Ballock, Braxton Key, Charles Matthews, Daishen Nix, and Lamar Peters. It’s shocking to see Maxey playing this season after his dominant showing in the post-season and his established role on the roster. The 76ers’ schedule kicks off on August 9th against the Dallas Mavericks, followed by the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, and finally the Minnesota Timberwolves on August 15th.
