Doug Pederson is at the Chicago Bears training camp today

A familiar face popped up at Chicago Bears training camp today. Yes, Matt Nagy is the Bears head coach and John DeFilippo is the Bears’ quarterback and passing coach. Hell, Nick Foles is even a quarterback on the Bears depth chart before he leaves to go take Carson Wentz’s job in Indianapolis again. None of these people are the “familiar face” I mentioned to kick off this hard hitting article. I’m talking about former Eagles head coach Doug Pederson.

Doug Pederson popped up in a few pictures today wearing Bears gear and holding a clipboard. In the almost too perfect picture above, you can see Nick Foles in the background holding up is hands. There has been no official announcement on Pederson’s involvement with the Bears and there doesn’t seem to be any open positions for him on the coaching staff. Most likely, he’s just catching up with some old friends and sliding into an advisory and/or consultant role during Bears camp.
Interesting to see Pederson at Bears camp and not with the Colts during their training camp with his good old pal Frank Reich. Maybe after Carson Went’z injury, Pederson decided to head to Chicago instead. Or maybe, just maybe, Pederson likes his friends in Chicago just a little bit more than the ones in Indianapolis.
This is why I don’t write Eagles articles. If you’re looking for the best Eagles content around there, you already know where to find it. Victor Williams & Steven Conrad Jr. are back with the first Philly Pod episode of the Eagles season! NFL Writer Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports joins the show to discuss Eagles training camp standouts, first impressions of Nick Sirianni, Carson Wentz’s injury implications on the Eagles, and more.

[…] Pederson was just seen at a Chicago Bears practice in full Bear’s gear with a clipboard in hand. It looks like Doug Pederson is still sticking around the NFL this year even though it seemed that he was going to take the year off following his departure with the Eagles. He has yet to sign with any team, as it looks like he is just helping some friends out for now. Maybe he will be in Kansas City next to hang out with an old friend, Andy Reid. […]
