Three Eagles crack the NFL’s Top-100 list

Yesterday afternoon, the NFL began its annual list of the 100 best players in the league. While the Eagles had five players made the list last year, it looks as though only three players will represent Philadelphia this season. Brandon Graham, Jason Kelce, and Fletcher Cox were part of the names unveiled yesterday.
Only the top 50 players have been revealed so far, but it doesn’t seem likely that any of their teammates will be joining them. Last year, Brandon Brooks (98th), Jason Kelce (94th), Darius Slay (92nd), Zach Ertz (85th), and Fletcher Cox (73rd) cracked the list. After a dominant 2020 season where he made a Pro Bowl, Graham gets his rightful place on the list at 99th, just ahead of Jaguars RB James Robinson.
Following BG is Jason Kelce, who ranks 92nd. After holding together the Eagles offensive line and another iron man season, Jason rises two spots in the list. For reference, Washington guard Brandon Scherff is ranked 98th.
Rounding out the list for Philadelphia is Fletcher Cox, who moved up ten sports in 63rd. Cox is just behind Washington Football Team’s Chase Young and three spots ahead of J.J. Watt. Overall these rankings feel very fair compared to previous years having some outrageous lists. Brooks missed all of last season, so it’s understandable how he didn’t make the cut while Zach Ertz fell off a cliff in 2020.
Darius Slay and Lane Johnson were worthy of making the list, but it seems that they will be on the outside looking in this season. After numerous horrid rankings from analysts across the league regarding Jalen Hurts and Miles Sanders, it’s refreshing to see some Eagles get the love they deserve.
