Local Tight End Tight End Visits Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles hosted a local tight end on a visit this week per NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. Cary Angeline, a Downingtown East graduate, played 35 games at N.C State in three seasons. Before his time at N.C state, he originally started his collegiate career at USC.
In his last season, Angeline was an honorable mention All-ACC choice after catching 27 receptions for 529 yards and six touchdowns. Angeline finished his N.C. State career with 61 receptions for 950 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was recently released by the Arizona Cardinals last week.
With the Eagles losing two tight ends this past week, they are clearly in need of depth at the position. Angeline just came in for a workout, and it has not been reported that he signed with the Eagles. There is a very slim chance that he would make the 53 man roster if signed, but he is definitely needed for pre-season depth. I’d expect a move at tight end from the Eagles before their next pre-season game.
