Michael Robinson posts PR apology for saying Jalen Hurts faked blood clots
Michael Robinson posted his long awaited Jalen Hurts apology on Twitter yesterday:
Michael Robinson is a rat.
Last week, before the severity of Jalen Hurts blood clot diagnosis was fully known, Robinson suggested that Hurts was just bullshitting the whole thing. His reasoning: The Eagles are going downhill and Hurts probably wants to protect himself and his money. It’s the same bullshit reason Stephen A. Smith suggested Lane Johnson retired.
In what universe do the best athletes in the world either quit or fake injuries in this fashion? Stephen A. saying it is one thing — he never played professional sports and doesn’t actually know anything about anything. Michael Robinson is a different story.
He’s a former NFL player. I’m sure he’s seen some shit during his playing days. Maybe in his locker rooms, the culture was more selfish. But to think a guy like Jalen Hurts would do it is not only stupid, it’s media malpractice coming from a guy who used to play at this level.
No one gives a shit about an apology. It’s a privilege to be on television, or at least it used to be. You don’t get oopsies on that stage. Michael Robinson should be fired. I didn’t even know he was on NFL Network until he said this. Goes to show he generates little to no value there, unless he’s talking out of his ass about Jalen Hurts, of course. That can be said for a lot of people in the media sadly. Buncha dorks.
