Tom McCarthy’s son will call Saturday and Sunday’s Phillies games

The Phillies won last night 4-3 in San Diego to snap a four game losing streak. They are now four games behind the National League East leading Atlanta Braves and four games out of the Wild Card spot held by the Padres. Tonight, they will send Aaron Nola to the mound to face Joe Musgrove. Saturday and Sunday’s games will sound a little different, as Tom McCarthy will be calling the Cleveland Browns preseason NFL game.
Patrick McCarthy, T-Mac’s son, will be taking over broadcasting duties while his dad changes sports. The 26 year old is the broadcaster for Triple A Lehigh Valley, but will provide play-by-play for tonight and tomorrow nights Phillies games.
Patrick played baseball at TCNJ and started calling games for the IronPigs in 2018 after a season with the Reading Fightin Phils. T-Mac’s son also does broadcasts for both Princeton football and basketball and St. Joe’s basketball.
