Eagles continue training camp cuts, trim roster down to 81 players

Two more Eagles were let go yesterday evening in an attempt to get their roster down to 80 players ahead of today’s deadline. Philly announced they would be waiving Hakeem Butler and Harry Crider alongside Jhamon Ausbon and Lavert Hill. After these cuts, they are now down to 81 players with the final cut still unknown.
Crider was another UDFA this offseason from Indiana and provided Philadelphia with offensive line depth during training camp. After Ausbon and Crider, only Jack Stoll Kayode Awosika, and JaQuan Bailey remain as UDFAs from the 2021 Draft. Hakeem Butler has been with the Eagles since the start of last season and saw limited time on the 53 man roster. With Tyree Jackson and Stoll impressing, Butler was the odd man out at TE.
Following these cuts, the Eagles have exactly one week to trim down their roster to the final 53 ahead of their season opener against Atlanta. Names like J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Andre Dillard are notable faces that could be cut or traded in the coming days.
