The 76ers will have a familiar face joining them in NBA 2K22. Earlier today, 2K released a trailer announcing the additions of every team’s PA announcer to add an authentic experience to the game. Matt Cord, the 76ers’ current PA announcer, appeared in the trailer announcing his signature tagline for Joel Embiid.

The addition of Cord is a pretty cool new feature to the game. It wasn’t a significant knock, but hearing the same generic announcer in every arena was a bit annoying. It’ll be cool to actually listen to the voice of the 76ers when playing in Wells Fargo. 

Matt Cord has been the PA announcer for the Philadelphia 76ers for over 20 years, first getting the gig back in 1996. For the rest of the 76ers in 2K22, Joel Embiid is tied for the second-highest rating in the game with a 95 overall. If you want to check the game out for yourself, it releases in just a few days on September 10th.
