Eagles place 4 players on Wednesday’s injury report

In a nice change of pace, the Eagles’ injury list going into their season opener against the Atlanta Falcons was pretty short. Only four players made Wednesday’s list, and all of them were limited. No players on the active 53 were held out, so it looks so there’s a good chance everyone will be on the field Sunday.
The four players listed include Brandon Brooks, Landon Dickerson, Rodney McLeod, and Davion Taylor. Brooks, Dickerson, and McLeod were listed with knee injuries while Taylor is still dealing with that calf injury. Brandon Brooks is a new addition to the list with no news on his injury, but hopefully, he was just banged up and will be healthy by Sunday.
Darius Slay alluded that McLeod wouldn’t be playing against the Falcons, and it makes sense. Rodney McLeod just came off the PUP list with a torn ACL and is still shaking the rust off after missing several months. The same goes for second-round pick Landon Dickerson who tore his ACL last winter.
As the week goes on, we will get a better idea of who will be inactive against the Atlanta Falcons. Yesterday the Eagles protected Jordan Howard, John Hightower, Elijah Riley, and Le’Raven Clark on the practice squad, with two of them being likely candidates to join the active roster this weekend.
