76ers preseason matchup against Nets bumped to ESPN

A slight change to the 76ers’ preseason coverage. Earlier today, the 76ers announced that their third preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets will now be on ESPN 2. The game is scheduled for October 11th at 8:00 in Philadelphia.
Philly will kick off their preseason on October 4th on the road against the Toronto Raptors, facing them once again at Wells Fargo on the 7th. The Sixers then cap off their preseason on the road against Detroit on December 15th.
One reason this game got bumped to ESPN is there’s a decent chance it’ll be the new-look Sixers first game against a fellow contender. Ben Simmons will sit out training camp, and a deal will likely be struck around that time based on numerous reports. The 76ers regular season will kick off on the road on October 20th against the New Orleans Pelicans.
