Former Eagles QB praises Jalen Hurts following 32-6 blowout win against the Falcons

After the Eagles blew the doors off the Atlanta Falcons, Jalen Hurts finally is getting the respect he deserves. During the offseason, the same people who are now praising Hurts, had nothing good to say about the second year Eagles quarterback. One former player that has always been in his corner is former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.
McNabb spoke with WIP on Monday following the game and had nothing but praise for Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles.
“He’s the grown man in the room,” said McNabb on Monday with the Marks & Reese Show. “I thought he was poised, I thought he was relaxed, I thought he allowed the game to come to him instead of trying to press the issue, be perfect and try to prove a point. When people are going to watch Jalen Hurts, they are going to see a guy who is going to play the game the way the game is supposed to be played.”
Hurts was phenomenal in the pocket and was highly accurate alongside consistently making the right reads in the pocket. To finish the night, Hurts was 27/35 with over 250 yards passing and three touchdowns.
“I was very impressed by the way he handled this offense, recognized what he was seeing from the Atlanta defense, and he took advantage of the opportunities he was given.”
For McNabb, he’s stayed out of the spotlight for the most part, while Terrell Owens has publicly stated he wants to fight him in a celebrity boxing match.
