CBS Sports forgets DeVonta Smith exists, leaves him off Week 2 Rookie Power Rankings

CBS Sports is either really stupid or had a slight mental lapse when releasing their Week 2 Rookie Power Rankings. The Eagles destroyed the Atlanta Falcons 32-6 in the first week of NFL action. Jason Kelce and Jordan Mailata were drinking Bud Lights and champagne from fans after the game. The vibes were immaculate. Highlighting the big week one win, was none other than Eagles rookie wide receiver DeVonta Smith.
Smith dazzled in week one, notching six catches for 71 yards and his first NFL career touchdown. He was also one of the highest ranked blocking wide receivers in week one and sold the most NFL jerseys following his week one performance.
So what the hell is CBS Sports doing with this tweet?
To compare, Smith had more yards, receptions, and touchdowns than Rondale Moore and more receptions and yards than Jaylen Waddle. Zach Wilson was sacked six times and threw an interception while Micha Parsons was lost in coverage on Thursday.
For whatever reason, the national media, including CBS Sports just won’t give the Eagles any credit after a big week one victory. I understand the Falcons aren’t a team to write home about but there’s no possible way that DeVonta Smith should be left off the Week 2 Rookie Power Rankings.
Either they forgot that DeVonta Smith played or he was intentionally left off the list. There’s really no other option.
Fly Eagles Fly.
