Update: Jason Kelce encouraging Jordan Mailata to accept beers and champagne from Eagles fans after is the veteran leadership we need

Yesterday, a video clip was released from an Eagles fan, handing Jason Kelce a bud light after the Eagles win in Atlanta on Sunday. In the video, Kelce took the beer from the guy, cracked it open, and enjoyed a nice cold one as he walked off the field. At the very end of the video, Jordan Mailata was seemingly left hanging by the cameraman instead of being offered the other beer. Check the video below.

Well, it turns out that wasn’t the case. In fact, it got even better. Last night, another video was posted by Barstool Philly that showed an extended cut. Mailata not only got a beer, but he also got an entire bottle of champagne from Eagles fans in the stands, to celebrate his new $64 million contract.

Talk about veteran leadership. Kelce with the Eagles’ new franchise left tackle, drinking beers and taking bottles of champagne from Eagles fans after the game is a huge development in my push to normalize Eagles players accepting alcohol from fans after a victory.
I expected this from Kelce, who spends the majority of his time drinking during the offseason down the shore, but not from our younger players. It’s good to see that Mailata is continuing to learn from his veteran teammates and hopefully, a sign of things to come as the Eagles look forward to their home opener against the 49ers on Sunday.
