76ers sign guard Shaq Harrison to training camp deal

Just ahead of the start of training camp, the Philadelphia 76ers are bringing in some fresh faces. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the 76ers have signed guard Shaq Harrison to a training camp deal. Harrison was a UDFA from Tulsa during the 2016 NBA Draft and spent several seasons with the Phoenix Suns and the Chicago Bulls. Most recently, Harrison played for the Denver Nuggets on a two-way deal.

A training camp invite likely means that Shaq Harrison will not make the 76ers’ final roster, especially since they already have all 15 spots and both two-way deals filled. There’s a chance this could transition into a deal with the Delaware Blue Coats, but that remains to be seen.

For reference, Justin Anderson was a training camp body for the 76ers last season but never made the team. Philadelphia is currently dealing with the Ben Simmons drama while kicking off media day this morning, so things could shake up over the coming days.
