Angelo Cataldi announces retirement date

As I got up this morning and hopped on the wasteland that is Twitter I began to see a few tweets floating around stating that there was some important Philadelphia Sports Talk radio news that would be announced this morning.
Personally, I don’t listen to that radio garbage but I kept my eye out. All of the sudden I saw “Angelo Cataldi retirement”. I thought we would be free at last from the tyranny that is WIP and the oppression they have caused Philadelphia sports fans (until they announced his successor). Unfortunately, that is not the case.
According to Crossing Broad, Cataldi’s last day was originally supposed to be May 10th 2021, but will now be December 2022. We still have a full Phillies season, 1.5 seasons of the Sixers, and roughly a season of the Eagles left on the books for Cataldi, who simply won’t leave people alone.
Your mornings will continue to suck for another year. Hopefully he doesn’t move the date again. Freedom is coming but for now, the nightmare continues.
