Flyers have claimed Zack MacEwen off of waivers from the Vancouver Canucks

The Philadelphia Flyers have claimed Zack MacEwen off waivers. MacEwen was waived by the Vancouver Canucks to make room for Alex Chiasson and the Flyers swooped in to claim him. The guy is an absolute unit.
MacEwen is definitely a straight up bruiser on the ice. He appeared in 34 games last year for Vancouver and got in six fights. Needless to say, the 25 year old is extremely physical on the ice. Have the Broad Street Bullies finally returned? I sure hope so. It’s about time this Flyers hockey team toughens up a bit honestly. MacEwen should bring that type of energy and comes pretty cheap to Philadelphia, with $825,000 this season before coming a restricted free agent next year.
We will most likely see MacEwen on the 4th line as a grinder / fighter, as he should be. That’s really all I got. Let’s beat the shit out of some people this season.

Flyers have their home opener on Friday. I know the boys at The Liberty Yell are excited and will be in attendance. Do yourself a favor and throw them a follow and check out the pod. It’s the best Flyers shit out there. I promise.
