Rumor: Howie Roseman’s presence turned away several head coaches this offseason

Eagles fans are not the only ones who are not fond of Howie Roseman. Earlier today, Jeff McLane wrote an article for the Philadelphia Inquirer that detailed the issues in Philadelphia and discussed some significant issues that arose during the process.
According to McLane, the Eagles were interested in Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Brandon Staley. Staley was one of the Eagles’ first requests to interview, but he wasn’t interested in the slightest. Eagles GM Howie Roseman’s presence turned Staley away from the job, and he didn’t even fly out to interview.
Eventually, Brandon Staley became the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, and the rookie HC is already the frontrunner for Coach of the Year. Alongside Staley, Brain Daboll, the offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills, wasn’t interested in the Eagles’ gig either,
The continued presence of Howie Roseman, despite many disliking him inside and outside the organization, is incredibly confusing. Roseman has put this team in horrible positions to succeed on several occasions. The team Roseman constructed this season is already falling apart at the hinges.
If the COTY isn’t even willing to fly out and speak to you because of your general manager, I don’t know what will sound off alarms for Jeffrey Lurie. Philly fans have put Jonathan Gannon and Nick Sirianni on the hot seat not even halfway through the season.
