11 names appear on Eagles’ injury list ahead of matchup against winless Lions

Not a good sign for the Eagles a few days out from their matchup against the winless Detroit Lions. Earlier today, the Eagles released their first injury list of the week, and boy was it a long one. 11 players appeared on the list, with almost every name playing a prominent role for Philadelphia.
Eagles’ injury report for October 27th:

Seven of the 11 players listed did not participate in today’s practice. J.J. Arcega Whiteside is dealing with a back problem, while fellow wideout DeVonta Smith was dealing with a headache. Miles Sanders was out with an ankle injury which isn’t surprising following Sunday’s loss.
Zech McPhearson has a hamstring problem, and Anthony Harris is dealing with both hands and groin injuries once again. Rounding out the list is Javon Hargrave with a shoulder injury and Fletcher Cox, who took a rest day.
The limited Eagles were Jack Anderson, who has yet to be active for Philadelphia, Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce due to rest, and Ryan Kerrigan. The most alarming part of this list is the large number of new names. Hopefully, a lot of this is precautionary, as most Wednesday injury reports are, but it hasn’t been this long in a while.
