Trysta Krick: “I want every single Philly team to fail”

In early September, former Barstool Sports employee Trysta Krick announced that she would be leaving Barstool to pursue a new opportunity at Audacy. As we all know (and most of us hate), Audacy is the same media company that owns Philadelphia’s worst radio station in the city, After completely tanking the “This League” brand at Barstool, Krick said she was going to be getting in the mix at Audacy and that she would be featured on BetMGM, WFAN, and other Audacy owned stations, including WIP. Maybe she has been doing that stuff? Honestly I have no idea.
I did however, come across this clip from yesterday, courtesy of BetQL. Apparently BetMGM has a show titled BetMGM Tonight and Krick was on the show? Maybe she’s always on the show? Who knows. Let’s run the clip.
Krick constantly took the approach of basically trolling Philadelphia fans that are too dumb to realize that it was all an act to begin with. In return, she got engagement through the roof by saying things that she probably doesn’t even mean all last season about Simmons, Embiid getting hurt in the playoffs, and just the overall state of the 76ers.
Here at The Liberty Line, we call these people frauds.
Krick says “I want every single Philly team to fail,” from the Flyers to the Eagles to the Sixers. Then the other dork makes some joke that the people in Philadelphia don’t wear deodorant. Cool man. That one really landed. Obviously Krick is no stranger to ripping Philadelphia. She basically made a living off doing so and opening admitted it on Twitter right when she announced she would be leaving Philly to explore new career opportunities.
It’s also pretty easy to say you want every Philadelphia team to fail at the moment. The Eagles are a disaster. The 76ers are stuck in a crypto-NFT world without their starting point guard, and the Phillies haven’t made the playoffs in a decade. We know we are failing and certainly don’t need Krick to tell us that.
It looks like Trysta Krick, after having so much success ruining the “This League” brand at Barstool Sports, decided to continue her basketball content at Audacy with a podcast called “Heat Check with Trysta Krick.” After a quick search on Apple Podcasts, it looks like it’s doing as great as This League was with Barstool.
Holy ratio.

Honestly, I don’t know why we even give Trysta Krick the time of day at The Liberty Line. I just genuinely don’t like her. Everything she does is just clickbait garbage that thrives off of negative energy. My only question is, why do people continue to give her opportunities in the sports media world? Isn’t it apparent by now that she brings nothing positive to the table? I’m not just saying that because I don’t like her. I can’t find one positive review, one video that was successful, or one piece of writing content that offered anything outside bad hot takes designed to make people upset. Weird.
Also, it’s a Saturday morning and really not much else to write about. Shake off those hangovers and get ready for Halloween weekend night number two. Cheers.
