Joel Embiid ruled OUT tonight, will get some much needed rest against the Blazers

After playing through evident pain, Joel Embiid is listed as OUT tonight for rest against the Portland Trail Blazers. Embiid will get a much needed night off and is expected to return to action Wednesday night (the debut the new City Edition jerseys) against the Bulls to close out the home stand. This is a massive sigh of relief for Sixers fans after seeing how much it seemed like Embiid was struggling with his knee.
The Sixers face off against a struggling Damian Lillard and his Blazers who are coming off a back to back and a loss in Charlotte last night. Andre Drummond is set to take on the starting role tonight, which was a main reason why they brought him in this offseason. Paul Reed and Charles Bassey will both likely see some extended minutes tonight as well.
The lines for tonight already have been updated. The 76ers went from 5.5 point favorites down to 2.5 point favorites. Odds brought to you by Parx Sportsbook – the official sports gambling partner of The Liberty Line.
