Pick Tracker: Carson Wentz to play Sunday even if he has to miss his child’s birth

As we enter week 10 of the 2021 NFL season, many Eagles fans are focused on the status of the potential first-round pick that we traded Carson Wentz for. The Eagles traded for the Colts 2022 second-round pick that will convert to a first if Carson Wentz plays more than 75% of his snaps. Currently, Wentz has played over 99% of his snaps.
Wentz’s wife is apparently due any day now, and the couple has already had a conversation on the possibility of her going into labor on Sunday. It appears that Carson Wentz will do whatever it takes to give us this first-round pick, even if it means missing the birth of his child. This is probably the most “Carson Wentz” news report I’ve seen so far.
I’m honestly sick and tired of talking and hearing about Carson Wentz, but I couldn’t be more honored to see what Wentz will still do for the Eagles organization. If possible, one would think that Wentz would try to sit out games not to allow the Eagles to get this first-round pick.
Wentz is currently in a “bounce back” year, throwing 17 touchdowns and only three interceptions. The Colts sit at second place in the AFC South at 5-4 behind the 7-2 Tennessee Titans. They have a relatively easy schedule coming up where they could potentially rack up some wins, and it started last week against the Jets. The Colts play the 2-6 Jaguars this Sunday. Eagles fans, don’t worry; Wentz cares about our first-round pick more than his own child being born.
Carson Wentz is the textbook definition of a hero.
