The Liberty Yell Wednesday Night NHL picks via Parx Sportsbook (Week 2)

Our picks over here at The Liberty Yell went 3-1 last week and it could’ve been a perfect night had the Blues not blown a game to the Kings in the third period. We’re back on this NHL on TNT primetime Wednesday night to deliver more picks, boosts, lines, and more via our partners over at Parx Sportsbook. I am unsure why TNT decided to go with the 10PM Arizona-Minnesota game instead of the Flyers-Leafs at 7:30PM, but here we are.
7:30PM: TOR Maple Leafs (-136) @ Philadelphia Flyers (+112)
The Philadelphia Flyers come into this game as +112 underdogs at home and it must be because the Leafs have been playing well of late. Toronto just fell to the LA Kings at home 5-1 after beating Vegas, Boston, and Tampa Bay all in the same week. Carter Hart gets the start for Philadelphia and all signs point to Jack Campbell starting for Toronto.
The Flyers 3-1-1 at home while Toronto is a lackluster 1-3 in road games this season. After an impressive homestand I expect the Leafs to have a drop off on the first road game back. The first line of the Flyers always seems to give the Maple Leafs fits, and with Carter Hart starting tonight on a roll we have to go with the hometown Flyers.
Our Parx Sportsbook Pick: Flyers ML (+112)
8:30PM: NSH Predators (+128) @ DAL Stars (-157)
These are not the Dallas Stars we once knew and loved for their high octane offense mixed with a responsible two-way game. Simply put, Dallas has been quite awful and only score around two goals per game and allow about 3 per game. Dallas is 4-5-2 and just lost to Vancouver 6-3; they seem to be on a downward spiral.
Nashville on the other hand has been trending upwards as of late. The Predators are 5-2 in their last 7 and only allowed more than 2 goals against one team (Edmonton). They have the goaltending, the defense is still formidable, and their offense should be enough to get by the Stars. Matt Duchene (10) and Roman Josi (12) have the team lead in points and seem to have things clicking.
Our Parx Sportsbook Pick: NSH Predators ML (+128)
10PM: MIN Wild (-215) @ ARI Coyotes (+175)
The Arizona Coyotes are a historically bad team this season and already have a goal differential of -30. They are 1-10-1 and just got their first win against the Seattle Kraken this Saturday. The only bright spot on the team is goaltender Karel Vejmelka who has been fantastic considering the circumstances.
Minnesota seems to have built of off last season and are clicking to begin the year. The Wild are 8-3-0 and play a complete 200-ft game. Kirill Kaprizov is tied for the team lead in points with 9 and the team is averaging about 3.27 GF/GP. Arizona is only averaging 1.58 and Shayne Gostisbehere (9) leads them in points. Don’t overthink this, take the Wild.
Our Parx Sportsbook Pick: Wild ML (-215)

Prop Picks:

We believe Joel Farabee is due and the Leafs aren’t exactly known for defense. I can easily see a responsible player like Farabee scoring tonight. Giroux to get two points shouldn’t need much explaining, the first line of the Flyers always gives the Leafs trouble and I would bank a good game from Giroux especially with powerplay opportunities.
