Howie Roseman was onee of five NFL GMs attending last night’s game between North Carolina and Pittsburgh to get an early look at both quarterbacks playing, Kenny Pickett and Sam Howell. He joined the Broncos, Raiders, Vikings, and Steelers’ general managers, with Pittsburgh likely only attending since the game takes place at their stadium, Heinz Field. Both of these quarterbacks are probably early draft picks but are projected anywhere from the middle of the first-round to the early second. 

38 NFL Scouts were in attendance and it was the second time that the Eagles went to check out the top college quarterbacks over the last week. Previously, they scouted both Malik Willis and Matt Corral. While Jalen Hurts has shown improvement, with how Howie Roseman is, it’s not shocking to see him doing his due diligence. 

It was a rainy night in Pittsburgh but the #21 Panthers beat the North Carolina Tar Heels 30-23. Sam Howell (UNC) completed 22/33 passes for 296 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Kenny Pickett (PITT) completed 25/33 passes for 346 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception.

Regardless of the quarterbacks (we’ll deal with that after the season), Howie Roseman was in full effect last night and even busted out his binoculars to get a closer look at both quarterbacks. Thankfully someone was able to screen record Howie when the TV camera’s panned across the TV. I honestly couldn’t believe it.

Is Howie Roseman self-aware enough to realize that his binocular meme is constantly being shared around social media? Is this all one big troll job by Howie? No one else in the room has binoculars. What in the world could he be looking at through those? I honestly have no idea. I want to think that it’s just a troll job and not Howie Roseman being a total dork on a business trip. I would have to probably go with dork.

Maybe this explains why Howie continuously comes up short on draft day. Everyone else has a clear view of the game and Howie is over there tunnel visioned on god knows what. Either way, we have now have two binocular images to use during the 2022 NFL Draft when the Eagles will most likely screw up their current three first round draft picks by trying to get too cute instead of taking the best available player.
